Our MR-CT Fusion for Epilepsy Service combines data from CT and MRI scans to aid in the placement of metal electrodes within the brain for patients with epilepsy. By leveraging the anatomical structures from MRI and the exact electrode location from CT scans, we create a comprehensive view of the probes' positions relative to the brain's intricate structure. Probes implanted into the brain are used to identify the exact location of seizures.

Once the hardware is in place, we fuse the pre-operative MRI with the post-operative CT scans. This fused imaging aims to enable healthcare professionals with identifying the hardware's precise location within the brain, facilitating more informed and effective treatment planning and ultimately improving the management and outcomes of epilepsy treatment.
